Refund Policy

Before State Submission

You may cancel a formation order at any time before LLC for Humans submits the filing to the California Secretary of State. We will refund the $139 service fee and the unremitted $70 state filing fee in full.

To cancel, contact help@llcforhumans.com or reply to your order confirmation. We determine the cutoff from the submission timestamp recorded in the order history.

After State Submission

Once the filing has been submitted to the California Secretary of State, the order cannot be cancelled. The $139 service fee and $70 state filing fee are not refundable by LLC for Humans. If the state issues a refund of a state fee, we will pass it through to you in full.

State rejection does not by itself create a refund right because the state retains the filing fee. We will communicate the state response and follow the applicable correction process.

Orders We Decline Before Submission

If we determine before submission that an order is unsupported or requires legal judgment outside the Services, we may decline it and refund the service fee and unremitted state fee in full.

Errors Introduced by Us

If a submitted filing or delivered document does not match the information you supplied and approved because of an error introduced by LLC for Humans, we will:

1. Correct the error at our expense, including any required corrective state filing and state fee.
2. Refund the service fee for the affected order.
3. Provide written notice describing the error, correction, and refund.

If we catch and correct an internal error before state submission and before document delivery, and it does not affect your information or timeline, the remedy is the correction itself and no service-fee refund is due.

Customer Information and State Actions

If a filing or document is inaccurate because information you supplied or approved was inaccurate or incomplete, a correction may require a new paid order and additional state fees.

If the issue is caused by state processing rather than by you or LLC for Humans, we will assist with resubmission or escalation without an additional service fee. State-fee treatment depends on the state's action.

Refund Processing

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. We issue approved refunds promptly, but they may take up to ten business days to appear depending on your bank or payment provider.
